We’re excited to have your students join us for a full day of hands-on theatre training. This event will include three workshop sessions, an optional Tech Challenge workshop, and a special “Lunch with the Pros” featuring GTA alumni. Please note: Teachers
and parents who plan to stay with students throughout the day should complete this registration form as well, so we have an accurate count for lunch and space needs.
Workshop session options:
Basic Principles for Lighting Design - This class will cover the foundations of stage lighting and basic strategies for tackling any lighting situation.
Period Costumes on a Budget - This class will cover strategies for creating period costume looks on a minimal budget.
Basic Principles for HMU - This class will cover basic practices for styling and maintaining wigs and best practices for make-up.
Basic Principles for Stage Management - This class will cover the basics of stage management.
Basic Principles for Mixing Sound for Musicals - This class will cover basic principles of mixing sound for live theatre and musicals. Some prior experience with audio will provide the best learning outcomes
but all are invited to participate.
An Introduction to Vectorworks - This class will be an introduction to the CADD software Vectorworks.
Basics of Design for Designers and Directors-Part I – Part I of this class will cover the basic elements and principles of design.
Basics of Design for Designers and Directors-Part II - Part II of this class will discuss how the elements and principles of design are applied to Lighting, Scenery, and Costume, as well as, Directing.
